The Muze MusicMaster database provides information on over 200,000 available and 550,000 deleted music products. It is by far the biggest and the most comprehensive database of its kind in the UK. Each recording on the Muze MusicMaster database features artist, title, music genre, format, catalogue number and label/distributor details. Where applicable dealer prices, barcodes, release day dates and full track listings are input. On average, over 3,100 entries are added every month to the database, ensuring that our customers are advised of every new recording available in the UK. Many recordings are entered with eight weeks in advance of the release date. Data for the Muze MusicMaster database has been collated since 1974 and includes recordings from 1952 onwards. All musical genres are included from rock to reggae and from dance to doo wop.
The Muze Video database currently features over 93,000 releases, over 56,000 contain cover art images. There are descriptions for every title including genre, catalogue number and distributor details, sound, colour and running time. Key facts on original production information and UK ratings, DVD special features and categorisations are also available. The database features detailed synopsis, cover art images and review excerpts.
Compiled in association with Gramophone magazine, the Muze classical database is compiled by experts. The database includes all the fields of the musicmaster database together composer and conductor - essential for classical connoisseurs who wish to conduct complex searches to find, and buy the right recording.
The Muze Soundtracks database features over 7,000 available products, covering films, stage shows, TV soundtracks and all related collections. In addition to the data fields found on the MusicMaster database, the soundtracks database also includes, where applicable, details on composers, conductors, and lyricists.
The Muze Spoken Word database features over 16,000 available audiobook recordings ranging from fiction to sound effects, and language to lifestyle. As well as the standard MusicMaster data fields, the spoken word database lists details on narrator, abridging, running time, ISBN and volumes.
The Muze Labels/Distributors database contains details on approximately 15,000 labels distributed by around 300 UK based distributors. Where advised, full contact details appear for the labels. However, all labels listed feature their current distributors with contact information. Major UK wholesalers are also listed.
